My ancestors William Davey and Eliza Lavercomb immigrated to Australia on
the ship Cambodia, arriving Moreton Bay August 1, 1855. There is no listing
for this ship in any of the volumes of Log of Logs.

Does anyone have any information regarding this ship, the voyage or the
passengers.

Regards,

Jane

Hi Jane,

The CAMBODIA shows up in a list of ships arriving in Victoria (Melbourne?)
from British ports in February 1854, Capt. George GEERE, and again in
March 1859, Capt. N. W. PAIGE. She also shows up in a list of arrivals from
foreign ports ariving in Victoria in October, 1859 under Capt. N. W PAIGE.

She also shows up in a list of passenger ships into New South Wales on
1 August, 1855 (Botany Bay).

This may not be directly relevant to your search, but it shows that the
ship plied a frequent trade into Australia!

John.

Hi Jane

Not every vessel that came here is in the 3 volumes of the
Log of Logs ' books These just records brief details of info on the
particular ships where some log ,diary or whatever has survived and
whose got it

You will find the passengers lists of this ships voyage to port of
Brisbane on NSW State Records films #'s 2137 & 2469 . The 24 series
usually has the more info . These films are to be found in many
libraries . In 1855 this was still part of the Colony of NSW

You might find some info about this ship in
