Esther Mary/Mary Esther Elligett, Vic to NSW - what happened to her?

Hi.

Esther Mary Elligett was born in Armadale, Vic, in 1907, to parents Patrick Edward Elligett and Esther Elizabeth Bergin. In 1937, she married Ernest John Sparks in Paddington, NSW (on her marriage cert, her given names were the other way round, i.e. Mary Esther). They divorced in 1945. I'm trying to locate what happened to Esther Mary/Mary Esther after that. Did she remarry? Did she die in NSW?

I've searched the NSW deaths online and found the following possible matches, if she did in fact re-marry:

Blackwood, Mary Esther, 1963, Patrick (father), Esther (mother), Sydney
Keast, Esther Mary, 1977, Patrick (father), Esther (mother), location blank

Can anyone with the NSW Deaths cd please tell me if either of these has the surname Elligett or Sparks associated? The website doesn't let me see all the details.

If anyone can help track this lady down, I would really appreciate it.

I checked the Vic Deaths 1921 to 1985 and found her brother:

John Edward Elligett,
Father Patrick Edward Elligett
Mother Esther Burgin
Place Heal
Age 60
Year 1969
Reg No. 23912

I checked other Vic CDs and didn't find Esther - only John.

Could she have gone to Qld or SA?

Thanks for that, Di. Yes, she had two brothers - John Edward (1909-69) and Lindsay James (1911-57). I've just thought - I might check their probate papers. There might be a mention of their sister.

She is on about a dozen family trees on Ancestry.com, but they seem to have
copied from one another, largely. They stop at about 1937. Still, a couple
had a photo of her as a girl, and at least one had a photo of two women in
black.

Checked whether she was the wife in either of the two marriages, with a nil
result. Not mentioned in the Ryerson Index.

Yeah, one of those trees would be mine and others belong to cousins, I think. I should check them all though, in case there's something new. I'm in contact with the person who has the photos. We're both trying to locate what happened to Esther Mary/Mary Esther Sparks (Elligett).
