Hi all,

I am a member of the Victorian Maritime Centre in Crib Point and on 28th November we have the Official Unveiling Of The 5 Royal Australian Navy George Cross Recipients:
Lieutenant-Commander G. GOSSE, G.C., RANVR
Lieutenant-Commander L.V. GOLDSWORTHY, G.C., D.S.C., G.M., RANVR
Lieutenant-Commander J.S. MOULD, G.C., G.M., RANVR
Lieutenant H.R. SYME, G.C., G.M. And Bar, RANVR
Chief Petty Officer Coxswain J. ROGERS, G.C., D.S.M., RAN

We have been unsuccessful in contacting any family members to invite them and wonder if this group might be able to help us in finding one.

Thanks for reading my post.
Cheers,
Di Maloney

Hi Di

Found the following if it helps.

Mould D & B 02) 9660 4505 (1 in White Pages) J S Mould died Royal North
Hosp. Sydney

Rogers K Rogers, (02) 4342 4557, Ettalong Beach NSW, this is where he lived
(1 in White Pages)

G Gosse, born West Aust. survived by wife and two daughters, if daughters
married that rules out the surname but perhaps these are relatives.

Three in White Pages, West Aust.
Gosse A (08) 9447 5946
Gosse H (08) 9228 3392
Gosse L (08) 9375 5501

Hugh Randall Syme, at one time Managing Director of the AGE newspaper in
Melbourne.
I should think if you were to approach the newspaper editor he would not be
averse to printing a brief write up about one of it's former directors with
such a gallant history, adding the fact that you are searching for relatives
of the other GC recipients.

I can't find anything to offer for Goldsworthy.

Regards
