Hi all,

would love some help with this one, please.

Victor's army file said he was born 1894 Trafalgar Vic. His parents were
given as Patrick and Louisa (file correspondence.) and he has some brothers
again mentioned in the file, but no names.

I am really stuck trying to find his family

Having followed them though the electoral roll, I have his parents as
Louisa Maria Teresa nee Wade d 1939 Townsville and his father as Patrick
QUINN who last appeared abt 1922 in the Innisfail electoral roll.

I just can't find any marriages births or deaths, for Victor, his parents or
siblings.

NB Louisa Maria Teresa Wade was a daughter of James 2 in the 1600, so dont
know about that. Lots of portraits of that beauty.

Most grateful for any help

kind regards

Thank you Phil and Kerry for info abt Victor's family.

Perhaps the family were a bit itinerant, his father was a timber splitter.

Victor started at Trafalgar, Vic, was at Lavers Hill when he joined up and
then his parents went to Innisfail and Townsville after the war.
When his mother died seemed to be much of the family living in the Caldwell
area in far north Q.

Several people mentioned in the funeral notice. McGilicott is mentioned,
With a name like that, surely something will turn up.

Might just have to go straight to the phone book.

cheers

Marg

Ancestry.com suggests as the mother:

Louisa Maria WADE, born 1884 in "Dunb" Vic
Father: David Wade
Mother: Mary Lindley

But that makes her only 10 when Victor was born.
